General

We move away from its Caribbean beaches to explore the heart of Sardinia, with the nuraghi, evidence dating back to 1800. C.
A trip on the road that takes us from Villanovaforru to Orroli, about fifty kilometers to go calmly, to have time to visit these splendid buildings.

1. First stop in Villanovaforru, where the Nuraghe of Genna Maria is located
About one km from the town, this archaeological complex is in a forest which, in turn, stands atop a hill. The gaze, from there, reaches the sea, from the Gulf of Oristano to the Gulf of Cagliari. Stunning views. The climb can also be done on foot and the walk in the park can follow the information panels and end in the sauce of the exhibition. In the nuragic complex there is also a perfect educational center to entertain children and teach them what there is to know. The Archaeological Museum of Genna Maria, however, is in the historic center of the small village of Villanovaforru.

2.
Second stop in Barumini, where Su Nuraxi can be admired
This archaeological park came to light in the 1950s and was further enriched in the 1990s when Casa Zapata was restored, an ancient noble residence of the Sardinian-Aragonese barons. The area is located in the open countryside, surrounded by greenery.

3. Last stop, at the Nuraghe Arrubiu, in Orroli
The red nuraghe, colored in this way because of the lichens that cover it, has 5 towers. The Nuraghe Arrubiu occupies an area of about 5000 meters and walking through its remains you will still find beautiful internal courtyards, stairs, corridors, domes, all to be explored.
